Yargle Day: You Are What You Eat was a phantom preconstructed event held on Magic: The Gathering Arena on September 3, 2022[1].

Description

Yargle Day is a commemorative day observed annually on September 3 to celebrate the printing of Yargle, Glutton of Urborg (Dominaria) and its subsequent elevation to internet meme. The date is representative of Yargle's power and toughness in middle-endian date systems.

For the third Yargle Day event, the format was phantom preconstructed Historic. There were five decks to choose from, each containing nine copies of Yargle, Glutton of Urborg. The other non-land cards in each deck were singleton.

Players started the game with two emblems. The first was the same Happy Yargle Day! emblem from the previous two events, which reduced the cost of Frog spells by {2} mana. The second was a new You Are What You Eat emblem which granted the ability "Whenever a Frog enters the battlefield under your control, you may sacrifice a creature. If you do, draw a card, and that Frog gains all of the abilities of the sacrificed creature."
