The Mimeoplasm is a legendary ooze from Muraganda. It can absorb the power of already dead creatures to advance its form.

Description

Even if little is known of this bizarre entity, every civilization of the plane is aware of its existence. It got its name from the Fang Druids, who call it the Mimeoplasm, as it absorbs the traits of anything it engulfs.[1] The Mimeoplasm is always followed in its roaming by the Saurid warriors of the south, who believe it to be the key to a mysterious afterlife and hope to see traces of their fallen loved ones. The elves of the tropics believe that the Mimeoplasm is part of nature's cycle, a way to channel death back into life; while the scar witches hiss when it approaches, seeing it as the ultimate enemy of the world. Whether it's a natural process or malevolent, the Mimeoplasm never fails to command respect.

The Mimeoplasm is unique among the oozes of Muraganda, fiercely intelligent and partially divine, and carries within it the congealed ancestral memory of past leaders of the Saurid Autocracy.[2] The saurids revere it, feeding it their great leaders upon their deaths and charting its migrations as a passing of eras. It travels the plane with such reliable consistency that the saurids have built massive, arching temples across its path to celebrate and worship the ooze as it transits the plane.
