Beza, the Bounding Spring, also known as the Spring Elk and the Season of Spring, is one of the Calamity Beasts of Bloomburrow.[1][2]
Description
To the animalfolk of Bloomburrow, Beza is enormous, the elemental elk's petal and leaf-covered body striding far above them. With antlers made of birch trees, and flowers and fruit growing on it, Beza is not only the herald of spring, it is the literal manifestation of it.[1] Wherever Beza goes, spring blooms immediately in its wake.[3]
“ | We call it the Season of Spring, but honestly, most call Beza by name! It's adored enough that feasts are thrown in its honor. Beza isn't the only Calamity to turn ash and death into new growth, but it's certainly the biggest. Perhaps we're a bit too wishful to think it's a friend of ours, but, indeed, it's never chased anyone. We've seen it fight off other Calamities. I distinctly remember my mother telling a story of climbing a tree in her youth to jump on its back as it walked by. It's peaceful enough that she lived to tell the tale. And with an undefeated fighting record, well, I'd personally say the feasts are deserved. | ” |
