The Hobbit (stylized as Magic: The Gathering® | The Hobbit™) is an upcoming Magic: The Gathering expansion in the Universes Beyond series, based on the novel of the same name by J.R.R. Tolkien. It is scheduled for release in August 2026. The Hobbit is the second expansion set in Tolkien's Middle-earth, the first being The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth. Wizards of the Coast first teased the set with a short animated video wishing happy birthday to Bilbo Baggins, which led to speculation of a new Middle-earth crossover product. The set was officially announced four days later at MagicCon Atlanta 2025.
