Sukurvia is a desert in southern Jamuraa on Dominaria, located east of Palmyra and west of the Scarwood.[1][2][3] In the west, the Sukurvia is bordered by the River Toloron, which divides it from the Western Wastes.
Description
The Sukurvian Desert, also known as The Sands of the Sukurvia is infested with deadly wurms. There is an underground sea beneath Sukurvia named the Sunken Sea that surfaces in different places, creating oases that extend across the desert. Four tribes of cat warriors, the Efravans, Hooraree, Khyyiani, and Sulaki, live in these oases. The Sunken Sea also connected to Johan's Joy, the dammed lake at the edge of Palmyra, before the dam was destroyed and the lake drained away, and to the Blue Blanket, although that has been lost to the desert sands. [2]
History
At some point, Sukurvia became host to vultures from the Osai Desert of Shandalar[2], likely through summoning or a planar portal which would have been closed during the Great Mending.
