March of the Machine/Welcome booster
The March of the Machine Welcome Boosters are fixed samplers, given away for free to provide potential new players a taste of what Magic: The Gathering offers and guide them on the first steps of their journey with the game.
Description
For March of the Machine, Welcome Boosters received an evergreen refresh, meaning they would no longer be updated with every Standard set.[1]
The Welcome Booster contains ten cards. Each Welcome Booster is exactly the same and contains a sample of legendary creatures, planeswalkers, rares, foils, showcase cards, and more. Notably, apart from the token card, none of the cards appearing in the MOM Welcome Booster are featured in the March of the Machine set and some are even from the defunct core sets. The cards retain their original expansion symbol, and some aren't even Standard legal. Instead, the Welcome Booster is more geared towards Commander play.[2] This printing has no effect on their legality.
The package also contains three double-sided advertisement or helper cards from a series numbered 1-24 (marked with an A) that contain tips on how to get started, find stores, and learn more about the game. For the first time, one of them features a token on the backside. In addition, it contains a MTG Arena code card for the Sneak Squad deck in MTG Arena.
