The Jamuraan Sea is a mediterranean sea surrounded by the supercontinent of Jamuraa on the plane of Dominaria.

Description

Formerly called the "Midmercian Sea", the Jamuraan Sea's only entrance from the greater ocean lies to the north toward Corondor. The sea is infamously difficult to navigate, not because of storms, but because of its numerous reefs, rocks, shoals, and islets creating a dangerous passage for those who do not know the correct navigational route. Around 3300 AR, Corondor vessels were the only known sailors who dared venture through the sea, though the navigational routes may have been learned by others in the over 1200 years since then. At that point, the city of Gallidi on the Onyx Bridge was the only port on the whole sea, though this too may have changed since then.[1]

History

In 3335 AR, Adira Strongheart and her Robaran Mercenaries, including Jedit Ojanen and Hazezon Tamar, hailed a Corondorian sailing vessel from the shore of the Jamuraan sea. Talking to the ship's captain and learning of their nine-week cycle of trade, the Robarans agreed to meet the Corondorians at the same spot nine weeks later, after venturing through Scarwood and finding the Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale. As agreed, the ship picked the mercenaries up and sailed them to Gallidi, which allowed them to cross the Onyx Bridge and return to Bryce via the Sea of Serenity.[1]
