Part of Tolaria and Scarwood, Jamuraa

The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale were one or two mystical buildings that appeared in two separate places - one in Pendrell Vale in Tolaria, from which its name derives, and one in Scarwood in Jamuraa, an ancient, holy site for the region's cat warriors.[1]

Description

Scarwood

The Tabernacle had twin towers topped with gold tiles flanking golden gates. The ram's horn seal of the Glyph of Life is present somewhere on or in the building. Beneath the tabernacle is a rounded vault, and the walls of the vault are illuminated with a series of murals depicting the history of Terrent Amese and the creation of the cat warriors, minotaurs, viashino and Ur-Drago. After being abandoned by both Terrent Amese and his creations, the tabernacle fell into ruin for over 900 years, until after Johan's War, when it was rebuilt by Jedit Ojanen and his cat warrior followers.[1]

Tolaria

The Tabernacle at Tolaria has never been directly described. Its status is unknown, as although it likely was affected by the Tolarian Temporal Disaster and/or Barrin's Blare of Doom which blasted the entire island of Tolaria away, the impenetrable Pendrell mists are still present at the former site of the island, leading some to believe that the Tolarian tabernacle somehow survived both disasters.

Continuity

As with several other continuity issues introduced by the Legends Cycle I, the issue of the Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale showing up in Scarwood stems from a lack of adequate information given to author Clayton Emery. Emery was given a list of cards from the Legends set to use, and the Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale was clearly on this list, even though Pendrell Vale by that time had already been well-established as being part of Tolaria through several cards in the Urza's Saga set. An in-lore explanation for this discrepancy has never been given.

Rift Era

According to the flavor text of Magus of the Tabernacle, the Tabernacle’s disciples channeled the emanations from Pendrell Vale, spreading its paradoxical demand to be both worshiped and left alone. It is unclear if this stems from the Scarwood or the Tolaria Tabernacle.
