The Headliner program is a series of Magic: The Gathering cards that was introduced for Innistrad Remastered in 2025.[1] Each set features a unique headliner, that is essentially a chase card.[2]
Description
The design team picks one card for a specific set and "cranks all the exciting knobs for awesome collectability", making a card feel super special by producing dedicated illustrations, treatments and foilings. Serialization will show up regularly.[3] Serialized versions can appear in Collector Boosters of any language, but the cards will always be in English. They are mechanically identical to their non-serialized counterparts.
The Headliner-program was inspired by the commercial success of The One Ring and its many variants (cards) from The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth.[4]
