Allusions

Most of the cards in Time Spiral were inspired by cards from Magic's past.[2][3][4] The following Points of Interest attempt to identify these inspirations for the non-Timeshifted cards.

Coal Stoker Priest of Gix, Coal Golem In design, Coal Stoker adds {R}{R}{R}{R} similar to how Priest of Gix does it, but that proved to be powerful. Upon being printed, its name and the amount of {R} it produces refers to Coal Golem.
