Alchemy: Innistrad is a MTG Arena-exclusive card set that was released on December 9, 2021. It is the first set in the Alchemy-series.[4][5]

Description

Alchemy: Innistrad card with MTG Arena stamp and A22 expansion symbol

Alchemy: Innistrad is a digital only release adjacent to the release of Innistrad: Midnight Hunt and Innistrad: Crimson Vow. The set is the first to be featured in the Alchemy play mode of MTG Arena. There are 63 new designed-for-digital cards included in the set (11 uncommons, 42 rares, 10 mythic rares). At the same time of its release, 11 older cards were rebalanced.

Most of the cards are set on Innistrad, but a few of them call back to earlier sets.[5]

As with all Alchemy cards, the cards of this set have the MTG Arena "A" as a "foil stamp" at the central bottom of the card. The set also features the A22 expansion symbol.

Mechanics

Alchemy: Innistrad introduces the Spellbook mechanic. Drafting a card from a spellbook works much like Davriel, Soul Broker's offers and conditions and Tome of the Infinite from Jumpstart: Historic Horizons. You will see three cards chosen from among a curated list and select one, usually to put into your hand.

The digital-only mechanics Conjure, Perpetually and Seek that were introduced in Jumpstart: Historic Horizons all return in this set. Party from Zendikar Rising makes a reappearance on one card, as well as Daybound and Nightbound and Foretell.
