I know "Zendikar's Last Stand" is the story name, but Zendikar's still around. It had another "last stand" during the New Phyrexian Invasion. I feel like this is a misleading article title even though it's based on an story title. How do other's feel?

- It doesn't feel meaningfully different to The Battle for Zendikar in terms of event progression. It's leading up to giving every new story article its own page. Shield (talk) 23:22, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- I think I could be fine with having an article on the subject of the Destruction of Ulamog and Kozilek. The broader pattern of making articles about a lot of events, it doesn't excite me, but I'm willing to accept that another editor thinks it's important. I do think we should have guidelines for which events, before we get into really nittt-gritty territory of like, "That Time Jace Played Chess with Emrakul" or "Chandra Kissed A Girl And She Liked It".
- For this article specifically, my biggest concern isn't the topic, but the tone. This is extremely WP:POETIC, from the title on down through the rest. I think the first step is to cut out the flowery language and undue emphasis, and when we have a body of plain, factual coverage, then evaluate whether there's enough to be said to justify an article. - Did a big edit pass. I originally just wanted to resolve WP:POETIC and MOS:CURLY, but found that I felt a need to add more information about how events evolved to the point that killing the titans was necessary. I also needed to make a factual correction in the lead: the deaths of the titans did not "mark... the founding of the Gatewatch". Those persons had already sworn their oaths after Nixilis' interference, before the titans were finally killed. Corveroth (talk) 19:49, 4 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks, Corv. I will continue to work on being less poetic and curly! And I'm also on line with you that there will be no Chandra-kissing or Jace-chess event, but this one is about as weighty as they get. As for the title - I try to use in-world language as much as possible and when that's not readily available, I try to use official WotC-titles like here. I don't oppose the change of title, if that matters.--Varghedin (talk) 08:04, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
