The Crimson Peaks was a huge mountain range in the southern part of Sarpadia, on the world of Dominaria.

Description

The Crimson Peaks were previously inhabited by dwarves and a few humans, and in the southernmost part of the mountains, dragons came to lay their eggs. The Brave Rabbit Inn was a tavern in an unnamed village in the northern Crimson Peaks, while Tigaden was a village in the far south, hosting the Squat Duck inn. Kalitas and Teedmar were dwarven towns, the latter close to Gurn Keep. The Sarpadian orcs and goblins were also known to have lived in caves in the Crimson Peaks. Shanin is the northernmost mountain in the Crimson Peaks.[1] Although it was by far not the tallest of the Crimson Peaks, it nevertheless held the roost of an adult male dragon, which bonded with the dwarf Sekena just before the Fall of the Sarpadian Empires.[1]

History

After the fall of the seat of the dwarven empire in the northern Sarpadian Mountains[2], the tide of orcs and goblins swept south into the Crimson Peaks. The Crimson Peaks dwarves defended their lands valiantly but were eventually eradicated by continual raids.[3] The Order of the Ebon Hand played an important part in the fall of the dwarves of the Crimson Peaks, setting off a volcanic eruption that wiped out the city of Teedmar[1], as well as supplying troops led by Ivra Jursdotter to aid the orcs and goblins' efforts.[4] After their conquest, the orcs and goblins hid from the massing thrulls in caves among the peaks until their eventual destruction.
