The Sarpadian Mountains was a range of mountains in northern Sarpadia, on the world of Dominaria.
History
Much smaller than the vast Crimson Peaks of the south, this mountain range was the home of a dwarven empire whose name was lost to history when the orcs and goblins destroyed it. During the initial onslaught at the dwarven stronghold, the dwarf hero Kaylen was killed in combat by an orc. This was witnessed by his lover Tymolin Loneglade who had to flee the destruction of the dwarven homeland to survive. Tymolin sought out her brother, which in turn set in motion the rise of the planeswalker Tevesh Szat, spelling doom for all the empires of Sarpadia.[1]
Although the dwarf empire was first to be lost in the Fall of the Sarpadian Empires, dwarves of Sarpadia continued to live in their towns and holdouts in the southern Crimson Peaks for some time afterward, unaware that their core homelands to the north had been lost.[2]
