The Sardian Mountains were located on the continent of Terisiare on Dominaria. They were peopled by savage human clans, the dwarves of Sardia, goblins and minotaurs.
History
The Archmandrite of the Ivory Tower invited Kathwar, chief of the Malpiri clan, representing the Sardian people, to join the Union of the Third Path.[1]
The Sardian Mountains were rich in metal and stone, so Urza traded with the dwarves of Sardia to fuel his war effort during the Brothers' War. During the last years of the war, surviving Sardian dwarves reported that burning rains were falling from the sky into their land, searing the flesh and corroding any exposed mechanism.[2]
After the war, the Sardian range lasted through the Dark Age even as it became enveloped in ice. The nation of Storgard was built in the western ranges, and north of it grew the ferocious Tanglewoods, while Raynor Glacier started filling its valleys.
The Sardian Mountains eventually became known as the Karplusan Mountains during the Ice Age.[3]
