Historicity
When I started editing the wiki, it was very much a thing. In that sense it is very much part of history that shouldn't be deleted. Don't forget to check Prerevisionist term, as well I took some steps in the past my self, e.g. removing the prerevisionist category --Hunter (talk) 08:55, 2 February 2025 (UTC)
- Fans were unhappy and used the label, and that much isn't in dispute. The goal now is to discuss the subjects of that revision, and the changes made to them, in a more objective tone. --Corveroth (talk) 09:05, 2 February 2025 (UTC)
Edit goals
In this heading, I'd like to seek consensus on how we should talk about the continuity change without loaded language. I suspect the general approach will be to choose a common section name to add to the impacted articles, and describe the old continuity exclusively within that section. Pages to patrol
I've tried to build a list of "pre-revision" source texts. If I've missed anything, please add them to the list. I'd also like to build an adjacent list of articles that refer to subjects within those texts—Jamuraa, Terisiare, Garth, etc. Even though those articles may no longer use the word, I think we should try to standardize the treatment of the old continuity on all applicable pages. --Corveroth (talk) 18:16, 2 February 2025 (UTC)
- I went through and de-revisioned what I could find. There wasn't a universal formulation to replace it with, so it depended on the context. Some uses of the phrase were completely unnecessary, and there was some info that I've not seen in any official source that I removed. It's always a risk that the terms will sneak back onto the site, though. I didn't touch the Revisionist page.--Varghedin (talk) 09:22, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
