A loose array of cards, each with two keyword mechanics from previous sets which beneficially work together.

Allusions

Many of the cards in Future Sight were inspired by cards from Magic's past or even cards printed later on.

Samite Censer-Bearer Samite Healer Many Clerics from the Samite sect prevent damage.
Oriss, Samite Guardian Orim, Samite Healer This is the white card in a cycle of creatures who are the descendants of legendary creatures of the past. These creatures all have a Grandeur ability.
Goldmeadow Lookout Goldmeadow Harrier This is the white card in a cycle of Spellshapers that create token versions of 1-mana creatures that exist in the game. The Lookout is unique in that it references a card that had not yet been printed at the time, while the other cards reference existing creatures.
Magus of the Moat Moat This is the white card in a cycle of Magus creatures. In Time Spiral the Magus cycle references artifacts, in Planar Chaos, they reference lands, and in Future Sight, they reference enchantments.
Saltskitter Elder Dragon Wurm Similar art, only white (non-Shapeshifter) Wurm creatures in the game.
Intervention Pact Cho-Arrim Alchemist This is the white card in a cycle of Pact cards that cost 0 mana upfront but require a payment later. Both cards have the same effect and share a 1 generic manaWhite manaWhite mana mana cost somewhere in the card.
Imperial Mask Ivory Mask This is the multiplayer-friendly take on an old card.
Cloudseeder Cloud Sprite This is the blue card in a cycle of Spellshapers that create token versions of 1-mana creatures that exist in the game.
Linessa, Zephyr Mage Alexi, Zephyr Mage This is the blue card in a cycle of creatures who are the descendants of legendary creatures of the past. These creatures all have a Grandeur ability.
Magus of the Future Future Sight This is the blue card in a cycle of Magus creatures. In Time Spiral the Magus cycle references artifacts, in Planar Chaos, they reference lands, and in Future Sight, they reference enchantments.

Skirk Ridge Exhumer Festering Goblin This is the black card in a cycle of Spellshapers that create token versions of 1-mana creatures that exist in the game.
Korlash, Heir to Blackblade Daakon Blackblade This is the black card in a cycle of creatures who are the descendants of legendary creatures of the past. These creatures all have a Grandeur ability. Korlash is unique because the card it is referencing has a different color identity than the reimagined version.
Magus of the Abyss The Abyss This is the black card in a cycle of Magus creatures. In Time Spiral the Magus cycle references artifacts, in Planar Chaos, they reference lands, and in Future Sight, they reference enchantments.
Slaughter Pact Dark Banishing This is the black card in a cycle of Pact cards that cost 0 mana upfront but require a payment later. Both cards have a similar effect and have a 2 generic manaBlack mana mana cost somewhere in the card.

Thunderblade Charge Hammer of Bogardan Both cards cost 1 generic manaRed manaRed mana, deal three damage, and can be recurred with a 2 generic manaRed manaRed manaRed mana mana cost.
Llanowar Mentor Llanowar Elves This is the green card in a cycle of Spellshapers that create token versions of 1-mana creatures that exist in the game.
Magus of the Vineyard Eladamri's Vineyard This is the red card in a cycle of Magus creatures. In Time Spiral the Magus cycle references artifacts, in Planar Chaos, they reference lands, and in Future Sight, they reference enchantments.
Baru, Fist of Krosa Kamahl, Fist of Krosa This is the black card in a cycle of creatures who are the descendants of legendary creatures of the past. These creatures all have a Grandeur ability.
Summoner's Pact Natural Order This is the green card in a cycle of Pact cards that cost 0 mana upfront but require a payment later. Both cards allow you to search for a green creature and have a 2 generic manaGreen manaGreen mana mana cost somewhere in the card.
Sliversmith Metallic Sliver This is the colorless card in a cycle of Spellshapers that create token versions of 1-mana creatures that exist in the game.
Whetwheel Whetstone Both are artifacts that turn a mana payment into mill.
Akroma's Memorial Akroma, Angel of Wrath This artifact gives all your creatures the abilities of the original Akroma.
Glittering Wish Burning Wish, other "Wish" cards. Cards in the original "Wish" cycle from Judgment allow you to access a card from outside the game and depict a Djinn granting a Human their wish. Glittering Wish's flavor text also matches the pattern on this original "Wish" cycle.
