Mix-and-match cards
A loose array of cards, each with two keyword mechanics from previous sets which beneficially work together.
- Bogardan Lancer (Bloodthirst and Flanking, one making the own creature stronger and the other to make opposing creatures weaker)
- Cutthroat il-Dal (Hellbent and Shadow; allows controller to toggle evasion and blocking of Shadow creatures)
- Gathan Raiders (Hellbent and Morph - discard a card to reach hellbent)
- Gibbering Descent (Hellbent and Madness to play the card when discarding it to reach hellbent)
- Haze of Rage (Storm and Buyback to up the storm counter by replaying the card)
- Ichor Slick (Cycling and Madness to play the card while cycling)
- Kavu Primarch (Kicker and Convoke to pay the kicker cost)
- Knight of Sursi (Flying and flanking; flanking adds an extra hurdle if a creature can block the flying creature) [1]
- Marshaling Cry (Cycling and Flashback to play the card after having it cycled)
- Molten Disaster (Kicker and Split second when kicked)
- Mystic Speculation (Scry and Buyback to scry repeatedly)
- Ravaging Riftwurm (Kicker to add counters and vanishing)
- Spirit en-Dal (Shadow and Forecast to give shadow as evasion or a panic effect)
- Sprout Swarm (Buyback and Convoke to pay the buyback cost with)
- Thornweald Archer (Deathtouch and Reach to hit flying creatures with deathtouch)[2]
Allusions
Many of the cards in Future Sight were inspired by cards from Magic's past or even cards printed later on.

The Lookout is unique in that it references a card that had not yet been printed at the time, while the other cards reference existing creatures. |
Magus of the Moat | Moat | This is the white card in a cycle of Magus creatures. In Time Spiral the Magus cycle references artifacts, in Planar Chaos, they reference lands, and in Future Sight, they reference enchantments. |

Glittering Wish | Burning Wish, other "Wish" cards. | Cards in the original "Wish" cycle from Judgment allow you to access a card from outside the game and depict a Djinn granting a Human their wish. Glittering Wish's flavor text also matches the pattern on this original "Wish" cycle. |
