Balesh Pass was a pass high in the Karplusan Mountains on the continent of Terisiare at the time of the Dominarian Ice Age.
Description
Balesh Pass was located below Mount Kireshal, running along the edge of Mount Delapre. High in the mountains, the pass was snow-covered even after the end of the Ice Age.[1]
History
At least two battles between knights of Kjeldor and Balduvian orcs were fought in the past. The first was a loss for the orcs, which were routed by a wall of pikemen, with several of the number slain by charging knights. The second battle saw the Balduvians bolstered by goblins of the Flarg, which were used as a distraction that allowed the orcs to flank the knights, killing many of them. The orcish general Groth Jonar accepted the parley and allowed the surviving knights of Kjeldor to retreat without further harm, claiming only their battle standard as a mark of victory.[1]
