Duel Decks: Elspeth vs. Tezzeret is the sixth set in the Duel Decks series. It was released on September 3, 2010, with an MSRP of US$19.99.[2]

Elspeth vs. Tezzeret contains two preconstructed theme decks, one centered around Elspeth, Knight-Errant and the other around Tezzeret the Seeker. Elspeth vs. Tezzeret depicts the rivalry of two planeswalkers and is a set of largely flavor-based theme decks.[3]

Description

Elspeth vs. Tezzeret features two cards with alternate art and holographic foil treatment; Elspeth, Knight-Errant and Tezzeret the Seeker. Furthermore, the set includes another four cards with alternate art; Crusade, Mishra's Factory, Swords to Plowshares, and Thirst for Knowledge.

In addition to this, the Duel Deck contains a Magic "learn to play" guide, a strategy inset, and three copies of the {W} 1/1 Soldier creature token, which is created by Elspeth, Knight Errant and Raise the Alarm.

Storyline

The previous planeswalker-based duel decks (Duel Decks: Jace vs. Chandra and Duel Decks: Garruk vs. Liliana) both were released subsequent to the respective battles between the planeswalkers being portrayed in webcomics.

There has been no webcomic depicting a battle between Elspeth and Tezzeret as yet; however, both planeswalkers played a role in the storyline of Scars of Mirrodin block.
