Fynn, known as the Fangbearer and the Snakehunter, is a human warrior from Kaldheim.
Description
Fynn appears to be left-handed.[1]
History
The leader of the Kannah clan is renowned as the only human who has ever managed to wound the Cosmos Serpent. When Fynn stabbed the beast, the great serpent's poisonous blood splashed on him and was absorbed into his body—but rather than killing him, it turned his blood to poison as well. Now his body takes its own corrosive revenge against any enemy who successfully strikes him. As outrageously impossible as Fynn's tale might seem, he proudly carries a shield made from a single scale of the monstrous serpent.[2]
When the planeswalker Niko Aris first arrived in Bretagard, they joined Fynn's band.[3] The group was on an urgent mission to discover the secrets of their leader’s troubling visions. Under a truce as dictated by frith, they traveled to Jutmaw so that Fynn could consult with Orhaft Stoneback, an Omenseeker Vedrune. While the clan leaders talked, warriors from both sides were goaded into conflict by Birgi (the god of boasting) to show Niko the nature of their ways.
Fynn, along with the other leaders of the human Clans, lead the Bretagard armies against the invading army that swept open Omenpaths during Tibalt's Doomskar. After the great battle he was visibly irritated by the presence of the elves in Bretagard, but agreed with King Harald and the other Clan leaders that elves and humans must live in peace until the elves would manage to return to Skemfar.[4]
Fynn fought in defense of Kaldheim during New Phyrexia's Invasion of the Multiverse, killing the compleated Koma.[5][6]

Trivia
- When his card was being designed, Dave Humpherys liked the idea that Fynn used poison counters, but got a little resistance as normally they don’t have just one poison card in a set. Dave argued it was self-sufficient (a deck using it didn’t need other poison cards), and it stayed in the set.[7]
