We do already have a page on doubling, and I think the subject you're talking about could work best as a section on that page. If you demonstrate that this article is notable enough to keep independent and we keep this article, we'll also need to address the redirect, but that can wait.

To improve what you've written, it would be good to have a citation to support the claim that "finite is typically better than infinite"—according to what authority or expert? Why should the reader trust that assertion?

We also aim for an encyclopedic tone in our articles, so the "have fun" sign-off isn't appropriate for a mainspace article. If you'd like to use a more casual tone in your user space or talk space, those are your spaces to do anything you'd like (within basic policy and legal limits).
