This covers the Special Guests reprints program, which began in The Lost Caverns of Ixalan. After the shift to Play Boosters for Murders at Karlov Manor, The List was retired, but the Special Guests program continued.

Cards on this list are legal in their set's Limited formats, as Play Boosters have a slot with a reasonable chance of appearance. Special Guests are treated the same as rare and mythic List cards; for Outlaws of Thunder Junction and onwards, there are no more common and uncommons and all List cards are Special Guests. The Special Guestlist was ten cards per set until 2026.

On Arena, the cards listed after The Lost Caverns of Ixalan are legal for Historic, Brawl, and Timeless, unless noted that they are pre-emptively banned, in which case they would only be legal for Timeless and Brawl.

The Lost Caverns of Ixalan and Murders at Karlov Manor

These were the last sets to have The List conjoined with Special Guests, and with them commons and uncommons. However, The List was not ported to Arena for The Lost Caverns of Ixalan and the Special Guests cards are not legal there, and conversely, the commons and uncommons for Murders at Karlov Manor are listed here for the purposes of outlining legality.
