There are four computer-controlled Genie enemies in the Magic: The Gathering (MicroProse) game (also known as Shandalar). Each has a different wedge-colored preconstructed deck, starts with 19 life, and can be bribed for 80 gold[1]. The white, red, and black color combination is missing.

The game's first expansion, Spells of the Ancients, included a lot of new cards from Arabian Nights and Legends. The decks the enemies played were also changed. All four Genie decks had most of their creature packages replaced, appropriately, with powerful Djinns and Efreets. They could also cast their spells more reliably with four of each on-colour Limited Edition Dual land and City of Brass.

The second expansion, Duels of the Planeswalkers, could be installed separately from Spells. Consequently, it restored the decklists from the base game, with the main variation being that the expansions didn't use the sideboarding function.

Original

Queltosh's deck in the base game was singleton other than for its Basic lands. It is also notable for playing some of the most powerful cards in the game such as Black Vise, Candelabra of Tawnos, Land Tax, and even Ancestral Recall.

Modifications

Spells of the Ancients

Queltosh's deck in the Spells expansion was no longer Singleton. It was base Red and included two Circles of Protection to mitigate damage from its spells and permanents.

Queltosh (Spells of the Ancients)

Duels of the Planeswalkers

The Duels version of Queltosh's deck, now suffixed "Red Djinn", was one card different from the original version. Keldon Warlord was included in place of Righteousness.

Saltrem Tor

Saltrem Tor.

A blue, red, and green deck.

Original

This deck was centred on green with a focus on playing creatures and enchanting them with Auras.

Saltrem Tor

Spells of the Ancients

The Spells version of Saltrem Tor's deck had Blue as its primary color instead of Green as in the original game. In addition to the Djinns, Efreets, and improved Mana that all decks in this tier received, it added Stealing and Land destruction subthemes. This replaced the Auras of the original deck.

Saltrem Tor (Spells of the Ancients)

Duels of the Planeswalkers

Saltrem Tor's deck in the second expansion was subtitled "Green Djinn" and returned to the Green focus and enchantments of the original list. Compared to the first decklist, it had an extra copy of both Birds of Paradise and Web instead of two Fireball.
