Part of Oneah, the Domains

Savaea, or the Savaen Forest, is a forest on the southern part of the island of Oneah, part of the Domains of Dominaria. The island also consists of Amjad, the Red Mountains, and Shanodin, and formerly hosted the nation of Oneah before goblins destroyed it.

Description

Savaea is home to the Savaen elves, which are magicians with the power to disenchant. They have no leaders, and each member of their society is valued on their own merits. Each elf may change their name after significant life events- for example, the Elder Leaf was known as 'Whisper' in her youth and Brookcharm as a mother. The Savaen Forest is home to the Emperor Oak, a huge, ancient tree worshipped for its life-bringing effects.[1]

History

After the Fall of Oneah, the Savaen Forest saw several bands of ragged human refugees fleeing through the forest. They were permitted to pass through without incident. However, when goblins from the Red Mountains also started showing up, they were shot on sight. After the Elder Leaf led the Goblin Chieftess Kruuna to the Emperor Oak to explain its virtues and was killed for her efforts, the elves of Savaea started pitying the goblins first, then filling them with arrows.[1]
