Plane | Arkhos |
Near Lethe Lake on the plane Arkhos, memories ebb away like the current of an old stone watercourse. Most mages tend to steer clear of the psychic ravages of the Lake, but surprisingly, some seek it out, believing they need to be cleansed of all remnants of the past to make their minds free for new magical creations.[1]
Trivia
- In Greek mythology, Lethe (Λήθη) was one of the five rivers of Hades. Also known as the river of unmindfulness, the Lethe flowed around the cave of Hypnos and through the Underworld, where all those who drank from it experienced complete forgetfulness.
- This also inspired The Rivers That Ring the World, five rivers that form a boundary between Theros and its Underworld.
