The second campaign for Duels of the Planeswalkers 2015 was set on the plane of Theros.

“  When you arrive on Theros, you learn the oracle you sought had been kidnapped by Tymaret, the Murder King, and carried into the wilds of Phoberos.  ”

There were four matches in the campaign, which once completed would unlock a further five optional opponents[2].

Most enemy decks have two forms: one default, and another for the higher "Planeswalker" difficulty level. The cards exchanged in Planeswalker difficulty are typically more efficient or powerful versions of a card from the default deck.

Campaign Decks

Match 1: Hydra Attack

The first campaign match is against a monogreen Hydra typal deck.

“  As you move through the thick forest, inscrutable hissing comes from every direction. Suddenly, a monstrous creature lunges at you. Its many heads strike out, hungry for your flesh.  ”
Hydra Attack
Modifications

On Planeswalker difficulty:

Match 2: Minotaur Stampede

The second campaign match is against a Black manaRed mana Minotaur typal deck.

“  With a dreadful bellow, a mob of brutal minotaurs charge!  ”

Modifications

On Planeswalker difficulty:

Match 3: Ocean's Might

The third match in the campaign is against a Green manaBlue mana deck with a "Sea Monsters" theme.

“  The merfolk Planeswalker Kiora seeks the biggest monsters of the Multiverse's seas. She's found some lovely specimens on Theros. Won't you take a look?  ”
Ocean's Might
Modifications

Under the Planeswalker difficulty:

Match 4: Army of the Returned

The final match in the Theros campaign is a Black manaRed mana Zombie typal deck.

“  Tymaret commands a phalanx of the dead who refuse to stay in the Underworld. "Why should I allow you to stop such an efficient killer?" he demands. "If you seek the oracle, come and take her!"

Tymaret and his undead band are defeated! You escort the oracle back to Meletis, where she enters a vapor-induced trance. She mutters, "A lone mage looks out over an endless sea of buildings. The key to fulfilling your quest is within him." She gestures, and an inscribed shard of slate appears in her hand. "Seek this symbol and find the mage." Your next step becomes clear - to Ravnica!

Match 2: Perilous Seas

A Blue manaBlack mana deck with a Siren theme and Bounce strategy.

“  Treacherous rocks that lay unseen. The haunting song of sirens. The spirits of the drowned. Can you survive such perils?  ”

On Planeswalker difficulty:

Match 3: What's in the Box?

A White manaBlue manaBlack manaRed manaGreen mana deck. The opponent is always on the draw, and always starts the game with one of each basic land and a Pyxis of Pandemonium in their hand.

“  The mysterious treasure might contain anything.  ”
Modifcations

On Planeswalker difficulty mode, the opponent starts with Pyxis of Pandemonium in play.

Match 4: Polis Invasion

A Red manaWhite mana aggro deck. It is similar to both forms of the Heroic Charge Player deck, but has more consistency with all its 4-ofs and can also trigger the Heroic mechanic more reliably.

“  An army is attempting to break through the walls of Akros. Will you stand in defense of the city?  ”
Polis Invasion
Modifications

On Planeswalker difficulty:

Match 5: Planeswalker Ajani

A white weenie deck with Cat typal elements and Enchantment synergies. It was themed around the Planeswalker Ajani, but didn't include him as a card. It contained only creatures, enchantments, and lands.

“  Ajani commands an army of proud leonin warriors. Prove that you deserve his allegiance.  ”
