Arena Tutor is a free Magic Arena Tracker App built by Draftsim on the Overwolf platform. The software offers multiple functions including a draft helper, deck and match tracking, vault completion tracker, statistical visualizations, and a unique achievements section.

It can run as an overlay on MTG Arena or as a separate window.

History

Launched on May 11, 2020, Arena Tutor was built by Draftsim developers and is closed source software. The application is only available on Microsoft Windows.

Its interface provides players with in-game statistics based on logs generated by MTG Arena. The software doesn’t require an account or user registration to be used.

Deck Tracker

Arena Tutor tracks user decks for both Limited and Constructed. It provides a history of their changes and a distribution of cards per type. It also tracks match results and can offer a historical win rate in the form of a summary broken down by change date. Users can determine the best deck builds based on these statistical results.

Draft Helper

The app suggests the best possible picks during the draft portion of any given Limited event on MTG Arena. It ranks each pick on a scale from 0 to 5, updating each suggestion based on previous choices.

Deckbuilder

Arena Tutor also suggests the best possible deck based on the rankings for Sealed and Draft pools. These suggestions are determined by an AI that’s updated frequently with data and expert analysis.

Users can also can check sample hands with the app to determine the best ratio of spells and lands.

Statistics

At a summarized level, Arena Tutor provides win rate percentages for each game based on format, event, play mode, deck, time frame, and detailed logs. This can be broken down on a granular level by using the UI’s filters and details of each game like lands played, spells played, extra cards drawn, and more.

Players can track their performance across decks for a particular season and compare rankings to their best of all time.

Game Logs

Similar to Magic Online, Arena Tutor provides detailed text game logs for historical and realtime matches.

The logs provide a play-by-play breakdown starting from the die roll to the game’s end. This is used to analyze matches and helps to improve gameplay.

Achievements

A feature only available on Arena Tutor is achievements. These achievements are awarded when certain game events occur after the game is over. For example, player achievements can include turns played, life totals, games won, cards in the library, and more.
