Magic: The Gathering Foundations, or Foundations, is a Magic set designed to provide a common base for new and experienced players. It is a Standard-legal set and will be released on November 15, 2024.[2][3]

Set details

Foundations is a new type of expansion set designed to carry through multiple Standard rotations. It contains mechanically unique card designs as well as reprints, functioning similarly to a Core set. Unlike other Standard-legal sets, cards in Foundations will remain legal in Standard until 2029.[4]
