Main article: Time Spiral
  • Consecrate Land, like many of the first Magic cards, did not have at least a copy of the original artwork retained by Wizards of the Coast. Instead, the original artist, Jeff A. Menges painted what could be considered a forgery of his own artwork from images of the original card for use in Time Spiral.
  • Dementia Sliver is the only member of the multicolored sliver cycle that does not mimic an enchantment.
  • Thunder Totem is the only card in the Totem cycle whose artist is not the same as the card it refers to.
  • Voidmage Prodigy is the only Timeshifted card not to feature the artwork used in its original printing. The artwork from a promotional version was used here instead.

Most of the cards in Time Spiral were inspired by cards from Magic's past. The following Points of Interest attempt to identify these inspirations for the non-Timeshifted cards.

  • Moonlace: Name and ability refer to the Lace cycle from the original Alpha set. Name, artwork, ability and flavor text refer to Pale Moon.
  • Phantom Wurm: Name, mana cost, artwork, creature type and effective power/toughness refer to Craw Wurm. Name, creature type, abilities and power/toughness refer to Phantom Centaur.
  • Triskelavus: Name, mana cost, abilities and power/toughness refer to Triskelion. Name, mana cost, artwork, abilities and power/toughness refer to Tetravus.
