The Lorwyn block is the thirteenth block; unlike all previous blocks, it consist of only two sets: one large expansion, Lorwyn(File:Lorwyn logo.gif), and one small expansion, Morningtide (File:Morningtide symbol.png).
The keywords introduced in this block include Champion, Changeling, Clash, Evoke, and Hideaway.
The mechanics introduced in this block include Planeswalkers, Tribal.
The race/class system is a major theme of this block.
Cycles
- Mono-colored legends mega cycle: A cycle split between Lorwyn and Morningtide, legendary mono-colored cards for the main protagonists of the Lorwyn and Morningtide novels — Ashling the Pilgrim and Brigid, Hero of Kinsbaile from Lorwyn were joined by Rhys the Exile, Vendilion Clique and Maralen of the Mornsong in Morningtide.
