1v1 Commander, not to be confused with Duel Commander, is a Magic Online format.

On May 10, 2017, Magic Online launched tournament play for 1v1 Commander consisting of two-player queues and a Friendly Constructed League, and created a separate ban list for Magic Online Commander.[1]

Players have a starting life total of 30. 1v1 Commander has its own banned list.

An important rule, which differentiates the format from any other Commander variant and option, is that you may only have one commander. Creatures with a partner ability function as if they did not have that ability.[2]

The mulligan system is the same as for sanctioned formats, and the construction rules follow the same color identity rule as the multiplayer version does.
