Suppress category allows wiki pages to suppress categories that are added by a template or other transclusion. It utilizes the replace function of the module. This should only be used in cases where the template can’t easily be modified to allow its own built in suppression via a parameter.
Example:
The following will suppress the Obsolete category from being automatically added by the template:
{{Suppress category|{{CR|glossary|Tribal}}|Obsolete}}
