Do we know if Sorcerer is now the "red spellcaster" job? MaRo said that Sorcerer is supposed to take Shaman's place but he does not specify if the use of Sorcerer is specifically for replacing the "spellcaster" job, which is designated for each color. I can't seem to find any direct confirmation.

Also worth mentioning that the 5 original spellcaster jobs were delineated for original Strixhaven set's flavour, and it's important context that the next in-Universe set is Secrets of Strixhaven, as it pushes it as the most likely reasoning for this change outside of cultural issues.--Nera Buvelle (talk) 03:30, 4 October 2025 (UTC)

No, there has been no official confirmation that Sorcerer is replacing Shaman as the red spellcaster job? Mark Rosewater has given hints that it's likely (e.g. Mark Rosewater (September 27, 2025).
