"Legendary cards in premier sets" table

I've updated the table to use the Scryfall search template rather than naked URLs but it got me thinking. Why is this table hidden? And why is it only limited to premier sets? Obviously I understand that it's a big table and made hidden to reduce the article length while it's also in a section talking about premier sets so limited to that only. But I think there's merit to a borader discussion and this should be moved to a separate sub-tab with a general focus on the increase in Legendary permanents plus the complaints from Commander players about "too many commanders" and the change in dynamics with Universes Beyond. I'm leaving the article as is until someone chimes in on whether it's a good idea or not. -- RivalRowan (talk) 06:53, 30 March 2025 (UTC)

The table is effectively an original-research citation for the claim "Since Dominaria, the average number of legendary creatures in premier sets has grown, and uncommon legendary creatures have become more frequent", which is otherwise unsourced. And it's hidden because it's massive, yes. If you think you can expand it into an article about the broader trend and the controversies around it, then by all means go ahead! I would appreciate it if the table remains a valid citation for the original claim—so with premier sets either kept separate from supplemental sets, or at least labeled so they can be filtered. Also, there's been discussion on the Discord about reducing the use of sub-tabs, and I think that what you're proposing could stand as its own article. (Also also, thanks for updating the links! I didn't know about the Scryfall search template when I was putting this together.) --Inktog (talk) 13:15, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
