"He carries a bow like Oketra's"
From Hadeer Elsbai (Jan 13, 2025). "Aetherdrift - Hour of Restoration". magicthegathering.com. Wizards of the Coast., there are the following quotes:
A god. It had to be. Its giant golden face was lion-like, with a metallic gilded mane. There was no mistaking its divinity; Mahitab felt it in her veins, in her muscles, in the tension of the air around them, like the world was holding its breath. That bow he held: that was Oketra's bow.
"Who are you?" Basri shouted, on his knees. "That is Oketra's bow you wield."
I think it's worth reverting to the original text - "He carries Oketra's bow".
I think the discrepancy here comes from Miguel Lopez (Feb 3, 2025). "The Legends of Aetherdrift". magicthegathering.com. Wizards of the Coast. in which it's written:
Ketramose is a new god, manifested from the fierce determination of the living Amonkheti to survive and the undead Amonkheti's desire to protect. Born of the Luxa bank reeds in Naktamun, he rose from sparkling water in wake of the Phyrexian invasion, equipped with a bow like Oketra's and the head of a proud lion.
But I don't know if the lore as written would supersede the legends article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by MaxMakesMagic (talk • contribs) 17:36, 6 February 2025 (UTC).
- I originally changed it to "Oketra's bow" and would generally agree that lore takes precedence, but in this case it seems to just be Basri perceiving it as Oketra's bow, while the Legends article clarifies that it is just similar. I'd say both could be accurate with it being a new bow that looks identical to the original. RudleyDudley (talk) 18:04, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
