Obsoleting a slang term

Having checked scryfall and recent printings, this mechanic seems to be deprecated in favor of stun counters entirely. Because of this, should it be merged with stun counters as a historical feature, or should be noted to be an obsolete mechanic? It's interesting because it's not an official term and so there's less reason to keep a page for it. Shield (talk) 06:57, 30 September 2025 (UTC)

No, it shouldn't be merged because it's a different thing entirely from stun counters. While I agree that Design has phased the ability out in favor of stun counters, we can't say it's obsoleted without a source from WotC saying so or they go several years without using the mechanic. I'm not sure if Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate (2022) is long enough ago to qualify. -- RivalRowan (talk) 07:13, 30 September 2025 (UTC)
