Duels of the Planeswalkers, the second expansion to the 1997 Magic: The Gathering (MicroProse) game (commonly known as Shandalar), included a number of preconstructed decks which players could use. These weren't automatically available in the game, instead, users would need to open the game's files and move them into a different directory to play them.

The player decks were unique in that many of the .dck files included a note with a flavorful description, strategy hints, or suggested swaps for cards from the Spells of the Ancients expansion. These decks were designed by members of MicroProse, largely from the Quality Assurance team[1].

“  The fiendish, total devastation of this deck can be accentuated with Spells of the Ancients cards. 4 Juzam Djinn and a Strip Mine replace the Infernal Medusa, Mold Demon, and Walking Dead. The land destroyers cripple the opponent's deck while speedy black creatures slaughter the opponent.  ”
