Duels of the Planeswalkers, the second expansion to the 1997 Magic: The Gathering (MicroProse) game (commonly known as Shandalar), included a number of preconstructed decks which players could use. These weren't automatically available in the game, instead, users would need to open the game's files and move them into a different directory to play them.

The player decks were unique in that many of the .dck files included a note with a flavorful description, strategy hints, or suggested swaps for cards from the Spells of the Ancients expansion. Eight of the decks were designed by Kevin Bane, the Assistant Lead of Quality Assurance on Duels[1], or his colleague Mike Seal[2].

A white weenie deck designed by Kevin Bane. It aims to play several small, efficient creatures before locking its opponent out with Armageddon. The enchantment Land Tax helps it rebuild faster if this early pressure isn't enough.

“  If you own Spells of the Ancients, take out one of the Disenchants and one of the White Knights to include two King Suleiman's for a good counter to Djinn/Efreet decks. With this deck, keep taxing and don't let them have land. The more you tax, the more you draw creatures.  ”
