A scene card is a borderless Magic: The Gathering card that forms a recognizable scene from a certain story, when combined with multiple other such cards.[1]

Description

Scene cards usually are to be combined in two or three rows, with the length of the rows varying from of two to six cards.

They may be available as Booster Fun in Collector Boosters, or are sold special fixed packages called Scene Boxes. The later include additional art card versions and a paper easel to display them.

As of 2025, scene cards are restricted to Universes Beyond sets.

History

Scene cards were introduced for The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth.[2][3] For the Lord of the Rings Holiday Release, several sets of scene cards were sold in the first Scene Boxes.
