Robert Thornburg is an American former professional player. He finished in the Top 8 of his debut Pro Tour event, 1996 Pro Tour Dallas, which remains his first and only final day placing at that level. Although he was only 17 years old at the time, he opted to play in the Masters Division as he thought it'd be easier.
“ | I figured the players under eighteen who are really good would play in the Junior division, and if I played in the Masters, that eliminated a lot of them," he said. "I think they're the best players out there, the players to beat.
"The results from Pro Tour-Columbus are what led me to believe that," he said. "I looked at the decks in the two divisions and I thought the Junior decks were better."[1] |
