Rich Hagon is a Magic event producer and former commentator. Previously, Hagon provided independent coverage of European Grand Prix as a member of the Moxradio team,[1] creating podcasts where he interviewed players and members of the staff, as well as play-by-play of feature matches. In late 2006, he was picked up by the official coverage, and he started making podcasts at every Pro Tour (though these were discontinued in 2012 with the advent of live video coverage of every round). He made his debut as a play-by-play commentator at Pro Tour Kuala Lumpur 2008 when Randy Buehler and Brian David-Marshall couldn't make it to the event; and when Buehler retired from coverage at the 2009 World Championships, Hagon took his position. Since then, Hagon has been acting as the producer of Magic coverage; he served as the anchorman at Pro Tours until 2020, and occasionally provided commentary. Maria Bartholdi served as his successor on the desk, while Rich continued working behind the scenes.
He has on occasion been hosting a Twitch show called "Downtime", which happens during Magic Online downtime, typically on Wednesdays. He used to write articles for Star City Games; currently, he writes for magicthegathering.com and Magic esports.
