Olivia Gobert-Hicks is an American Magic: the Gathering Commander player, cosplayer. She is a member of the Commander Format Panel (CFP).
Description
Gobert-Hicks played her first game of Magic in 2014 and never looked back. Her enthusiasm for the format and love of creating cool things has led to her cosplaying Magic characters like Liliana Vess and Breya at events, and streaming on her Twitch channel. Besides being a master jeweler, she has worked on numerous political campaigns and facilitated fundraisers for charities and causes close to her heart.[1]
She was on the leading edge of webcam streaming of Commander, nearly a year before the 2019 pandemic and well before it caught on across the community, providing a positive blueprint for the practice. She is currently co-host of the YouTube channels Commander at Home and Elder Dragon Hijinks.
In November 2019, Gobert-Hicks became part of the Commander Advisory Group.[2] In September 2019, she moved to the core Commander Rules Committee.[1]
When the Commander Rules Committee and the Advisory Group were dissolved in 2024, she transferred to the CFP. According to Gavin Verhey, she "is an expert at keeping the fun and lighthearted nature of Commander firmly in mind while also switching on a dime to have serious conversations about the format's future and what it needs."[3]
At MagicCon Las Vegas 2025, Olivia's boyfriend Brian Kibler proposed to her.[4]
