Miscut

A Magic: The Gathering miscut is any card that has been cut in a way contrary to its intention. This could include offset issues, non-factory cut sheets, or cards with unrounded corners.[1] Depending on the severity of the miscut, cards cut improperly can fetch a hefty sum on the secondary market.[2]
Offset issues
Offset printing is the printing technique used to print Magic cards, in which the inked image is transferred (or "offset") from a plate to a rubber blanket and then to the print sheet. Usually, 121 cards are printed on a print sheet that has to be cut afterward to produce individual cards. When the cutter doesn't perfectly align with the print sheet, the resulting card face may be improperly aligned or even show parts of two cards that adjoin on the print sheet.
NFCs
Sometimes full uncut print sheets of Magic cards are released to the public, be it as an award, a promotion, or as compensation for past production failures. Some people will sell these full sheets as a novelty, but others will aim to cut cards from these sheets to sell them piecemeal. As a consequence, occasionally sheets are cut improperly with their cards sold as "non-factory cut," or NFC, colloquially. NFCs are not produced by Wizards of the Coast, and often people can tell by the cut of the corners on these cards.[1]
Square corner miscuts
Normally, cards are cut to have rounded corners. When the cutter misfunctions, cards may have one or more non-rounded corners.[1]
