Mercadian Masques/Theme decks
Mercadian Masques had four theme decks. One is monocolored, and three are bicolored.
Included with each deck was a booklet with deck lists and strategy guides for all four decks. An enhanced version of each deck was also suggested to upgrade it for a competitive Standard environment. From Mercadian Masques a sideboard was not suggested. (The cards for the enhanced deck lists were not supplied)
Deepwood Menace
Deepwood Menace is a red/green theme deck from Mercadian Masques. It was designed by Mark Rosewater.[1]
“ | Torch the battlefield, then bring on the leaping hordes of destruction. Deepwood Menace keeps the table clear for oblivion's thundering approach.[2] | ” |

Creatures (24)
Enchantment (1)
The 2 rares in this deck are Battle Squadron and Natural Affinity.
“ | The enhanced version of the deck is smaller and quicker. Just as with the basic deck, the key to victory is aggressiveness: put out creatures and attack. Rancor, Shock, and Symbiosis guarantee that any blockers are destroyed. A perfect draw for this deck, for example, is a one-mana green creature (such as Deepwood Wolverine or Wild Dogs) that has two Rancors put on it in turn two. [3] | ” |

Disrupter
Disrupter is a black/red theme deck from Mercadian Masques. It was designed by Robert Gutschera.
“ | Lay down some good old-fashioned, gruesome carnage. The Disrupter is all about punishment and pain, with land and hand destruction galore.[4] | ” |

Creatures (20)
The 2 rares in this deck are Silent Assassin and Thrashing Wumpus.
“ | The enhanced version of “Disrupter” is more focused than the basic version. It concentrates on land and creature destruction, with only two Duresses to provide early disruption of your opponent’s hand. But there are many more ways to destroy your opponent’s lands and creatures, and many of these are dual purpose. [5] | ” |
Creatures (21)
Rebel's Call
Rebel's Call is a white theme deck from Mercadian Masques. It was designed by Henry Stern.
“ | Recruit creatures straight from your library and overrun opponents with Rebel's Call. Command Rebel creatures that can recruit their comrades, then move in for the final, all-out horde attack.[6] | ” |

Creatures (29)
The 2 rares in this deck are Cho-Manno, Revolutionary and Ramosian Sky Marshal.
“ | The main difference between the basic and enhanced “Rebel’s Call” decks is that the enhanced deck includes a new colour: red. Adding some of red’s direct damage spells changes the way the deck works. A quick win is much more feasible, because those first few creatures you put out will have an easier time getting through as you blow up your opponent’s blockers. [7] | ” |

Tidal Mastery
Tidal Mastery is a white/blue theme deck from Mercadian Masques. It was designed by William Jockusch.
“ | Master the ocean's surge and thunder with Tidal Mastery. Establish a line of creature defense, counter assaults, then pound away like the ceaseless sea.[8] | ” |

Creatures (19)
The 2 rares in this deck are Kyren Archive and Overtaker.
“ | The enhanced “Tidal Mastery” deck is similar in concept to the basic deck, but the availability of other sets gives it access to more useful cards. [9] | ” |
