The Magic 2012Core Set was accompanied by ten thirty-card sample decks, consisting of basic lands, commons and 4 uncommons from Magic 2012 and the Scars of Mirrodin block.[1] Each color had its own packaging, focusing on the planeswalkers that were featured in the set. The packaging was designed by Lisa M. Douglass, who wrapped the art from the front to the side. She used various text sizes to emphasize and dramatize key words in the personality descriptions.[2]
