Jose Acevedo

Jose Acevedo is a former Hasbro employee who also worked at Wizards of the Coast on Magic: The Gathering.

Career

Acevedo first worked for Hasbro as an intern in June 2015. A year later, he was hired as Game Designer.

In June 2016 The first project he was credited for as Lead Art Director was Magic: The Gathering Foundations. Between October 2020 and October 2023, he worked for Wizards of the Coast as Senior Designer and Creative Lead. In this capacity he pitched the advent calendar concept for the Secret Lair 30th Anniversary Countdown Kit and scene cards for The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth. He also researched locations, objects, and themes for the Tomb Raider and Fortnite Secret Lairs. He was part of the Jumpstart team of Foundations.

After his stint at WotC, he returned to Hasbro proper to work on the design and development of the classic Monopoly board game. He left the company in October 2024.
