Dan Sheehan, a.k.a. NOT A WOLF, is an American author and comedy writer living in Los Angeles.

Description

Sheehan has written for several outlets, including The Onion, ClickHole and Netflix. His debut novel I Am Not a Wolf was featured in New York Magazine's "Best of 2021" coverage as one of the best comedy books of the year. It was based on his Twitter account "NOT A WOLF" which is about a wolf who masquerades as a human office worker.

In 2022, he contributed to the Magic Story for Dominaria United.[1] He also contributed creative text to 2024's Outlaws of Thunder Junction.

In addition to that, he hosted the comedic Magic: The Gathering podcast, The Commander Sphere with his friend and fellow comedian Rachel Weeks (now of the Command Zone) from 2019 until 2022. He currently hosts a new podcast called Pie Break, about Magic's color pie.

In 2024, Sheehan collaborated with Wizards of the Coast for the NOT A WOLF Secret Lair drop.[2]
