Information
Plane Dominaria
Part of Stahaan, the Domains

Bathtown is trading village on the island of Stahaan, part of the Domains of Dominaria.

Description

Isolated Bathtown might well represent the last human habitation in the world. It looks appropriately forlorn, the sole tavern has no sign, and the roofs need repair. A few are so bare of thatch that it is evident they were abandoned years ago. Only the town's stockade, an outer defense of sharpened poles, is well maintained. All but the most necessary defenses are falling to ruins. The town lies at the edge of Boiling Lake. One side of the lake is locked in ice but from the shore nearest the town, great clouds of steam rise from the hot springs that give the town its name.[1]

History

In 4185, Istini Ayesh ni Hata Kan arrived in Bathtown while unconscious from a poisoned goblin blade. She was nursed back to health by the brothers Laik and Alik and spent her last coppers on a jug of wine. Then she disappeared off into the mountains, returning many weeks later with another poisoned wound, and again being healed by the two brothers. Afterward, she shared incredible stories of living with the minotaurs in the Halls of Mirtiin. Ayesh eventually left Bathtown and the island altogether, reuniting with the ship's captain who brought her there, who would be her future husband.[1]
