Demonym Acapistani

Acapistan (or Acapiston) is a region likely on the continent Otaria on Dominaria, somewhere south of Tamingazin.[1]

Description

Not much is known of Acapistan, and specifically its exact location is unclear, but appears to be located south of Tamingazin, beyond Suderbod, which places it somewhere on or near Otaria. Its spelling is also inconsequential, leading to some confusion if Acapiston and Acapistan may be two separate places with almost identical names, or simply spelling errors.

Acapistan/on appears to be a warm, tropical area of deserts and jungles where dark-skinned humans live in vast forces, and where golden rings, bracelets, and other jewelry is made.

There are five quotes related to Acapistan and/or Acapiston all from the same source:[1]

1) "Gold," cried one scarred, dark-skinned human, holding up handfuls of rings and bracelets. "Precious gold, all the way from Acapiston!"
2) "It seems Thesil’s job was to take food to the rooms of ambassadors, and he tried to lift some jewelry from an Acapistani."
3) Maybe they would go south to the soggy swamps of the Suder. Or even farther, to the jungles of Acapistan, where he had been told that summer lasted all year.
4) "Your reputation is known from the wastes above Skollten to the deserts of Acapiston.”
5) Compared to the vast forces of lands like Suderbod and Acapistan, the humans and Garan elves who had marched under Tagard’s banner were a relatively feeble company.
