Classic was a sanctioned casual Magic Online format that allowed all sets and cards (including promotional cards) available on the platform. With the release of Mirage, the format became a placeholder while the Vintage card pool was slowly added to the Magic Online client. Classic was retired on June 14, 2014, when Vintage was introduced to Magic Online with the release of Vintage Masters.[1]

Normal deckbuilding rules do apply: decks must be a minimum of 60 cards and contain no more than 4 copies of any card, excluding basic lands and Relentless cards.
